A keen chamber music player, Elena devotes her musical life to the string quartet, working as a member of the Frankfurt based Fabrik Quartet, with which she focuses in exploring and performing late 20th century and contemporary music repertoire.
In 2022 Elena completed the International Ensemble Moderne Academy in Frankfurt, with which she performed in many of the most important contemporary music festivals in Europe, including the 'Time of Music' Festival in Viitasaari, Finland, 'Manifeste' at the Pompidou Centre in Paris, 'Wittener Tage for New Chamber Music', Kunst Fest Spiele Herren Hausen in Hannover.
From 2012 to 2021 Elena is a cellist in the London-born and London-trained Alauda Quartet, with which she held the Junior Chamber Music Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was part of the Aldeburgh Festival artistic residency, Park Lane Group and Making Music 'Concert Artist' programmes.
With the Alauda Quartet, Elena has enjoyed performing in various music festivals across Europe, Asia and North America.
In 2019 Elena was recipient of the “Loiacono Cello Prize” scholarship in Italy and was awarded the Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music in London (ARAM).
Elena has worked with various orchestras across UK and Italy, including the “Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino”, “Orchestra del San Carlo di Napoli”, “Fondazione Teatro Lirico Petruzzelli” in Bari, “City Chamber Orchestra” in London, and in 2015 was selected for the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra in Switzerland.
Elena attended masterclasses with Maria Kliegel and Thomas Demenga in Switzerland and Natalia Gutman at the International Music Campus in Sermoneta, and with cellists Robert Cohen, Sung Won-Yang and Steven Doane during her studies at the Royal Academy.
She graduated with a Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music in London with teachers Felix Schmidt and Robert Cohen and at the G.Verdi Conservatoire in Milano, under the guidance of M°Marco Scano.
