Federico Ceppetelli

Federico Ceppetelli is an Italian violinist based in Frankfurt am Main.
Deeply engaged with chamber music and contemporary repertoire, he approaches today’s music as a vital reflection of our time and a space for artistic research and shared listening.

He is one of the founding members of the Fabrik Quartet, an ensemble dedicated to late 20th-century and contemporary music, which has quickly gained international recognition and is widely regarded as one of the most promising emerging chamber music groups of its generation.

His concert activity has taken him across Europe and Asia, with appearances at major festivals including Heidelberger Frühling, Pan Music Festival (Seoul), Lucerne Festival, and ManiFeste (Paris). He collaborates regularly with ensembles such as Ensemble Modern and the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra (LFCO) and has worked closely with composers including Alberto Posadas, Rebecca Saunders, Liza Lim, and Helmut Lachenmann.

He completed a Master’s degree in Violin with Prof. Friedemann Wezel at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig (cum laude), and a Master’s degree in Contemporary Music with Prof. Laurent Albrecht Breuninger in Karlsruhe (cum laude). He completed the Solistenexamen in 2025 with highest distinction and special mention.

During the 2021/2022 season he was a scholarship holder of the IEMA – Ensemble Modern Akademie.
